Working together

Thoughtful support, at the right stage.

For younger learners

Short varied activities, clear models, stories and repetition help turn new words into something a child can use.

For teenagers

Relevant topics, greater choice and more demanding tasks build independence alongside subject knowledge.

For parents

We agree priorities together and use clear examples of progress. For under-18s, a parent or guardian makes the initial enquiry.

What might a lesson look like?

Build English fluency through a real task.

Explain a favourite activity, ask a partner about theirs and report back.

Speak, receive focused feedback and try again with fewer prompts. We can examine pronunciation, intonation, flow, grammar, syntax and register, selecting the most useful priorities for this learner.

Carry fluency beyond the lesson.

A possible fluency goal: Present a favourite activity, listen to a partner’s response and ask a useful question.

A short, age-appropriate activity helps the learner return to the language between lessons. The amount is agreed around school commitments.

Choosing an exam course? Tell me the awarding body, qualification, level, specification and exam year. Preparation is agreed for that particular course; a general language level alone does not determine exam readiness.

Targeted support

Exam preparation, with a clear plan.

Choose the qualification to see the task demands and how preparation works. The course is matched to the learner’s age, level, awarding body and exam year.
